I really do want to know
Seriously, I really want to know. What are your kiddo's favorite toys. We have a really limited budget and can only buy a few (like, two) for her birthday and that's probably it til Christmas, so I'd like to make them count. PLEASE, comment on my blog! (I'm signing right now, not near as cute as when Jane does it, but use your imagination and reward my magic belly ;-)

My girls got a toy for their first birthday that they just LOVE!!!! It's from Playskool and it's a toy that comes w/ five little plastic balls that are blown up in the air and slide back down into the toy to be blown out again. I'll try and look up the toy and send you a link cause I'm sure I didn't describe it right. I really think it's the toy to buy! Every single kid that comes to my house baby to about 10 years old goes crazy with it, they just love it. The only problem is that kids continue pressing the button to start it (which gets the air going and a quick music piece) and it drives Glen crazy after hearing it over and over again. It happens to be that kids want to play it while Glen is trying to watch a movie. hahaha
p.s. My girls also love a little tent I bought from IKEA. It was only $9.00 and I throw in stuffed animals, blankets, etc. They love to go in there and play or just lay in there for a little bit.
This is a link to the toy I was trying to describe: http://www.hasbro.com/playskool/default.cfm?page=browse&product_id=13031
I'm sure you can find it at a walmart, target, etc.
I would say Nathan's favorite toys are anything that aren't REALLY toys because he likes to tear the house apart. Of course, I also love to have him play with REAL toys as a means of distraction and learning. He really likes puzzles - the ones with little pegs that he can hold on to. Mostly he just bangs the pieces together, but he still likes them. He also really loves stuffed animals. Anyway, not sure that helps. Seriously he just loves crawling around the house and getting into trouble. That's his favorite. Luckily if Jane doesn't get a lot of toys this year, she won't know the difference :)
All right, are you ready for William's favorite toys?
A stick
rocks
dirt
dead bugs
mom's books
tupperware
the hose on the vaccum
leaves/grass/anything that grows or once grew
He does have this giraffe/elephant toy where you can drop the balls into it and they come out the bottom, and it also comes with stackable rings, but mostly he likes it cause the balls rattle so he can bang them on things and make sounds with it. Besides, I think Jane is far more advanced than Will is anyway. So she'd probably hate the toy.
Happy Birthday Jane!!
Hi, Marcee! This is Glenden's sister, Amber. :) I have been blog hopping your blog from Patty's blog a couple of times and I thought I would post a couple of toys my kids have liked on their first birthdays. Sadie's favorite toys were a stroller and baby doll. She love mothering, that is just her personality. One of Braden's favorite 1st birthday presents was a video called MagIQ that came with a stuffed animal. You can find it a Babies'R'Us. It is an interactive toy that makes responses at certain times durring the video. It is pretty cool. It was the only thing that would settle him down when he was a baby, and we watched it millions of times. Mackenzie really loved her glow worm that plays music and she loved the toy that Patty mentioned above. What Jane will may like be totally different, but those are my ideas for you. :)
Hope everything is going well for you!
Marcee,
We found that ball blower toy that Paty recommended (we found it on Craigslist for $10). Will loves it almost as much as I do! :D It's really fun, and he's already learning (in a day) how to get it started and where the balls go and how to stop the whole process. Thanks for asking so I could glean from the info provided. You're the best!
